Cooperation with World Vision Armenia – Summer Camps
For two consecutive years, CRONIMET Charity Foundation has been cooperating with the World Vision Armenia in organization of summer camps for children from vulnerable communities. Every year thousands of boys and girls spend their vacation at these Summer Camps. With our support in 2013 and 2013 about 600 children from impoverished communities has gotten an opportunity to spend eight days at comfortable camp resorts in Armenia. The camps has been organized in various beautiful regions on the country, a camp in Jermuk, a camp resort in Hankavan, and Pambak.
For most of those children that was the first trip outside their villages, and a chance to meet their peers from Yerevan and other communities. The children enjoy fresh air, beautiful scenery and comfortable lodging. They receive nutritious meals four times a day. The days at the camp are full of events and various activities. The camp activities are carefully planned. The children not only have fun, but also learn essential life skills and acquire new knowledge. They participate in activities that teach them leadership and team work and promote their participation in community life. They also learnt how to give first aid and had a chance to test that knowledge during a competition. The camp ends with a final celebration, full of games, surprises, performances, which culminates in a camp fire ceremony. This joint effort of CRONIMET Charity Foundation and World Vision aims at improving the quality of life of vulnerable children in Armenia.
